I cannot take credit for the title of this website. It was a combination of two separate days of reading Gods words, and then he put the thoughts together in my mind while on my way to work this morning. I read in iiCor.3:18 that we, through the word of God (John 17:17), are changed into his image in steps, or "stages"; or, as the scriptures put it, "from glory to glory, by the spirit of the LORD". It is through these scriptures that gradually perfect the man of God(iiTim.3:17) by the cleansing word of God(Eph.5:26). This happens because as the bible is likened unto a mirror(James1:23-25), it shows us our faults and errors; and not only our outward ones either. The scriptures "discerns" or KNOWS, the thoughts, and motives of our inner being- our heart(Heb. 4:12). So let us therefore be more than just a "hearer", but a DOER of this work, and we "SHALL be blessed..." (James1:25).
Please click through the tabs near the top of the screen, "searching the scriptures"(Acts 17:11), for it is in them that we "think" that we have eternal life(John 5:39, KJV). It does not say that we "think we have eternal life" in the sense of "hoping for". But rather in the literal, logical sense of "think" as of the English word (see bottom of page for ref.). So "come, let us reason together"(Is. 1:18), and pray that God will reveal the deeper things of his word to us in a real and practical way(Dan. 2:22).

Greek definition as taken from http://www.biblestudytools.com/lexicons/greek/kjv/dokeo.html.
The Soul Of Man One of the basic foundational truths of "biblical metaphysics" (if such terminology is acceptable), is the human soul (the seat of a man reason- his mind, will, and emotions) was created when Gods infinite spirit touched the physical body of finite man (Gen.2:7). To say this directly contradicts the abandonment of reason, for we may therefore say with certainty that "brain + spirit=reason". So how then may the reasoning and logical mind ignore the spiritual, by which it was conceived?
